Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Restaurant Variant Modifiers ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when a Wix site owner installs or uses the app.
2. Information the app accesses
To provide its features, the app accesses Wix data associated with the site on which it is installed. This can include Restaurant menu items, variants, modifier groups and choices, menu sections, prices, availability settings, defaults, and the Wix identifiers associated with those resources.
The app also accesses limited app-instance and billing-status information supplied by Wix so it can determine whether the installation is entitled to use paid features and provide useful support information.
3. Information the app stores
The app stores the configuration metadata needed to manage the changes it creates, such as references linking an original Restaurant item to the native Wix Restaurant items and modifier resources created for different variants. This data is used to update, verify, and reset configurations.
The app may also record minimal technical diagnostic events, such as app version, app-instance identifier, operation type, success or failure state, and error category. Diagnostic events are designed not to include menu item names, modifier names, prices, email addresses, or full menu contents.
4. Customer and payment data
Restaurant Variant Modifiers is a site-owner configuration tool. It does not intentionally collect or store restaurant customer names, customer email addresses, payment card information, or other checkout payment credentials. Customer ordering and payment processing remain within Wix's native ordering and checkout systems.
5. How information is used
Information is used only to provide and operate the app, apply and manage Restaurant menu configurations, verify the result of requested changes, determine subscription entitlement, troubleshoot errors, maintain reliability, and respond to support or privacy requests.
6. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell personal data. We do not share Wix user data with advertisers or data brokers. The app relies on Wix's platform and cloud infrastructure to provide its functionality and data storage. Wix handles information in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
This Privacy Policy page may be hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub hosts the static policy page only and is not used by Restaurant Variant Modifiers to store Wix Restaurant configuration data.
7. Security
The app is designed to use Wix-hosted infrastructure, Wix authentication and authorization, HTTPS connections, and managed Wix data storage. Access is limited to what is needed to provide the app's functionality.
8. Retention and deletion
Configuration metadata is retained for as long as it is needed to manage active app configurations and support update or reset functionality. Limited diagnostic information may be retained for a reasonable period for reliability and troubleshooting. You may request deletion of app-controlled data, subject to Wix platform capabilities and any legal obligations that require retention.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal data. Because the app is primarily a Wix site-owner configuration tool and is designed not to collect customer personal data, many requests may relate instead to data controlled directly by the Wix site owner or by Wix.
10. International processing
Wix may process or host data in different countries as part of providing its platform and services. Any such processing is governed by Wix's applicable terms and privacy practices.
11. Children
The app is intended for Wix site owners and business users. It is not directed to children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
